Styleframes for a Music Festival Promo

This was a project I created during Design Bootcamp, a course from School of Motion. For this assignment, Diesel is hosting a fictional EDM festival in Spain, and they want to nail down the design direction for a 30-second commercial for the concert. The festival will be held at a club in Barcelona and will feature tons of popular EDM acts.

The Design Brief

Create a set of styleframes to give Diesel an idea of the promo’s structure and showcase your vision for the look-and-feel of the spot. The imagery should reflect the Diesel brand. Include a styleframe that demonstrates how you would treat the name/photo of each headliner. There needs to be an end-card with the festival logo, URL, dates, and location for the concert.

The Styleframes

The Diesel logo is overlaid on top of a photo of people dancing at an EDM show

A record emerges from the torn photo with the text "Thirty Days, Thirty Artists"

A photo cutout of a female DJ is overlaid on top of ripped paper with the artist's name and record label: Grayscale, Dirtybird Records

A record sleeve with the Diesel logo emerges into the scene and a record starts to roll out of the sleeve
